  • AIU does not recognise British undergraduate degrees, and it is not equivalent to an engineering degree. 
  • To become a lawyer or doctor in India, one must complete their under-graduation in India. Completing their first degree in other countries is not accepted as a lawyer or doctor in India. They can pursue their post-graduation in other countries. 
  • Students who complete a diploma in hotel management and an additional one-year post-diploma are not considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree by Indian institutes. 
  • An entrepreneur who completes his engineering degree overseas must provide an equivalent certificate to validate his engineering degree. 

Misconceptions of Pursuing Overseas Education

It is said that IB students can enter into top universities for pursuing their higher studies. They need only a minimal cut-off mark to enter into a foreign university. This makes them dream of pursuing their higher studies abroad.  Indian students should continue their education in India. Students must never under-rate the standard of Indian universities. Parents can also encourage students to join a good institute in India. There are many colleges and universities offering quality higher education in India. There are also many vacant seats in Indian colleges.
